IBM were tasked with delivering Virgin Money's credit card's initial mobile application. Over an 8 month period using their agile methodlogies the 2 parties were able to unite to design, build and deliver their first user app with a number of features.
I was initially approached to help the teams reach their initial release date. This was extended into phase 2, before eventaually working to transition the project to Virgin's own development team via an extensive knowledge transfer period. The in house Virgin team continue to support and add new features to the app as their road map grows.
Alongside building out native UI flows, I was able to focus my time to deliver biometric login and management, in-app Apple Pay provisioning, unit testing, remote payment approval, notifications, and Open Banking TPP integrations. It was a great experience to work with such a well structured and talented team, and develop skills and knowledge within the Fintech sector.
