The Financial Crime landscape is continually evolving and becoming increasingly complex for our clients to manage. Our team needs individuals who will help provide expert advice and solutions to address our clients Financial Crime Management needs across the organization. Are you ready for the challenge?
As an intern on our Financial Crime team, you will:
• Generate analytics insights from analyzing large datasets including financial and non-financial data, developing models and analytics tests, and visualizing data
• Work in a collaborative team analyzing client issues and participate in client presentations
• Assist in different areas of project management, including client projects and internal initiatives
• Learn from deep subject matter experts through mentoring and on the job coaching
• Partner with clients to solve their most complex problems
• Be empowered to lead and have an impact with clients, our communities and in the office
Deloitte Financial Crime practice uses a broad stack of analytic and data technologies. As an intern, you will be working on the creation of financial crime analytic insights during our client engagements leveraging the following:
• Analytics – SQL, Python, Angoss, SPSS, and R
• Data preparation and modeling – SSIS, T-SQL, Alteryx
• Visualization – Tableau, IBM i2 Analyst Notebook and Power BI
• Data management system – SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Hadoop Hive
• Programing – JavaScript, C# and Java
The Financial Crime and Analytics at Deloitte helps our clients to protect their brand and reputation by proactively advising on their exposure to fraud, corruption, and other financial crime issues. Drawing on our global network of seasoned investigators, intelligence analysts, technologists and advanced analytics, we can quickly and efficiently gain an understanding of our clients’ various Financial Crime exposures.
In this role, the expected qualifications are:
• Working towards completing a post-secondary degree or diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance or other quantitative disciplines
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem-solving abilities
• Meets at least two of the following criteria:
• Data analysis experience using (one or more) of the preferred analytics tools
• Experience with data preparation and modeling including mining, transformation and normalization
• Experience in data management systems including development of custom stored-procedures, functions
• Experience in visualization including development of dashboards, network analysis and executive reports
The salary range for this position is $47,000.00 - $61,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
