Westwood Post Acute is looking to expand our team - we are hiring an Activities Assistant!

Job Duties:

Create and lead activities for patients, engage patients in meaningful programs, work as a Team with the Activities Department. Must be comfortable driving a facility van.

Driver requirements:

Must have training and be able to demonstrate safe clinical based transfer techniques for:

• Ingress Egress of Mobile Patients with Van
• Transfer of patients into and out of Wheelchair
• Properly securing WC bound residents into bays in Vans
• Must be able to lift transfer and mobilize patient weights of up to 70 pounds by self in confined areas inside Van.
• Must be able to make complex decisions involving highly dependent patient base.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED
• Minimum - 25 years old
• Must have a valid DL
• Must be familiar with GPS and local driving area
• No Traffic Crimes in the last 7 years (DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving). no Traffic Felonies (Multiple DUI, or DWS, Leaving Scene with Injuries, Assault with Vehicle) Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years Not more than one accident in 3 years
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Ability to work weekends
