Working with the great team at FP Creative I was responsible for developing the native iPad application with another iOS developer. The application acts as a portal to various media articles relating to Land Rover’s range of automobiles.

With a development team of 2 members we built the app in native obj-c. New content is pushed to app via a cms built in ruby to allow the team to edit content on the fly. Designers are able to create packs/ issues within PSD files which are then exported to zip files. The app is then able to sync these zip files and extract their content of JSON, image and video files to the device's local storage.

We integrated push notifications to alert users of new content and built various components to display the new content. The app makes use of video, imagery, mapping, rss feeds and interactive content to bring news from the Land Rover brand to their audience.

The project was awarded with a ‘FWA – Mobile of the Day‘ award on 26th June 2014 and won the News category in the 2014 UK Mobile & App Design Awards.
